As the pod drifted slowly on it's course to the Earth, Tunip drifted in and out of half-sleep. The stars in the distance blurred and blinked in his vision, becoming the swirl that he always enjoyed so much. There was something innately relaxing about the stars, and the cold quiet of space. Tunip was rather eagier to reach the planet, he had been in the pod for about a week, but the last relaxation before arrival was always nice. His eyes drifted shut as the pod entered the planet's atmosphere. The thermal shielding would also prevent eye damage, but it was mostly out of reflex. The burning flare was gone in an instant, and the pod flashed across the sky, soon smashing down in a vast field. As the dust from the impact cleared, Tunip slowly opened his eyes. Slowly the pod's door slid down, a spray of hydrolic steam bursting from it's sides. As he walked down the ramp Tunip stretched his arms above him, it had been quite a long trip. But it seemed to have been worth it. The climate was quite nice, rather warm with a good breeze, and the sky a pleasant blue. This definitly seemed like an ideal place for life, and so a perfect place for Tunip's fun to begin.
Just to let out the tension, Tunip formed a golden ball of energy upon each hand. He lifted into the air, spheres held in place, and rose about seventy five feet. From here he threw the balls, one at a time, into a nearby cliff face. An explosion rocked the surface, as rocks and dust billowed up from the site. With a burst of ki he blasted towards it, delivering a hard kick to a large rock. The stone was sent flying and smashed into the cliff-face. It broke off much of it's mass in the impact, but a small part of it bounced back, which Tunip met with a backflip-kick. The rock was sent flying high above, and Tunip followed up with a single ki blast. The energy ball incinerated the rock in a flash, and Tunip lifted above the cliff. It had been a nice way to work out his body's tensions, but it was not the sort of fun he desired. From the cliff, however, he could make out the top of a city in the distance. With a grin he spun towards it and set off at full speed.
Passerbys stared in curiosity at the golden light on the horizon, unsure of what it was approuching them. Tunip did not slow his course in the slightest, and a panic began as he grew nearer. Finally he literally impacted with a tall building, cutting through as if it were paper. Rubble burst out with him as the building broke, splitting in half and falling over a smaller dome. Tunip spun in a 180 degree rotation, firing off golden blasts each moment. An arc of destruction was torn in the ground and buildings around him, leading to further panic as the residents fled. However they made the mistake of crowding the main road. Tunip prefered an audience for his rampage, but did not want them getting away. Instead he filled his mouth with ki, forming it up into a large blast. He than let it erupt out over the main street of the city. The citizens faded into the light, soon finding themselves inside Tunip's stomach. This only increased their panic, but it was far from the little saiyan's mind at this point. Instead he gave a strong kick to the bottom of the broken building, sending it hurtling into the air.
The top of the building lifted a few hundred feet from the impact, fragments raining down along the way, before it finally crashed down in the street. A dome-house was half destroyed by the fall, and the road was blocked off. Of course most the city had already been eaten, so there weren't really any cars for it to block off. An idea came to Tunip at this time. He flew into the side of the building fragment and let himself get to it's center. At this point he stopped and extended his tail. A golden bead of light appeared at it's tip, and he did a full rotation. Gleaming energy was left in the trail, forming a ring around him, illuminating the darkness inside the building. The energy exploded outward, fragmenting the area. Pieces of the building flew in all directions, smashing down countless others around it. Tunip was left standing on the emptry street, rubble raining around him. The destruction had led anyone still in a dome house to flee, and Tunip amused himself with a few blasts towards them. However as he landed, deciding to try a bit of melee practice on them, he heard a peculiar sound. Like a rush of air suddenly emerging behind him.
The sound was quickly followed by a direct attack. Tunip tried to turn, sensing the uppercut a moment too late, but it as useless. He was sent spinning into the air above, and in a flash the attacker reappeared above him, smashing a single foot down into his stomach. Tunip was sent crashing to the ground in a plume of dust. He erupted out of it a moment later and rushed his opponent, giving him two punchs and a knee to the stomach. The attacker fell back, finally allowing Tunip to get a good look at him. His skin was halfway between pewter and gold, with two small horns raising from his forehead. They curved back onto his scalp, dissapearing beneath long black hair. His ears were elongated and sharp, curling back slightly. His body was covered in a garment halfway between a robe and a coat, a sky blue tone, with pants of the same color. His appearance was unusual, even to Tunip who had wandered the universe, but it was his aura that confused the legendary saiyan. It felt utterly alien to him. It wasn't like any powerlevel he had experienced. It wasn't that it was strong, actually it seemed almost non-existant, it was just wrong. Tunip was certain, lacking his natural confidence, most would have buckled from the being's mere presence.
Tunip was far too angry to back down, no matter what his opponent was. He formed a large ball of ki onto his right hand and hurled it upward. It reached a good distance at which time he followed up with an arrow. The second attack struck the first, and an explosion of golden light filled the sky. Thousands of tiny spheres began to rain down, tearing apart the pavement around them. Tunip's opponent was taken by surprise, and this left him open for an instant. Tunip saw his chance and delivered a strong kick to the attacker, knocking him to the ground. Tunip followed after with both feet extended, smashing them into his stomach. He stood atop his opponent, looking down. "If I'm going to have to kill you, maybe you should at least introduce yourself." His tone was quite snotty, but his opponent did not seem to be affected by the comment. "I felt no need to tell one such as yourself who I am. But, if it will please you..." At this time the attacked vanished with the familiar sound, and reappeared behind him. He gave a strong kick to the side of Tunip's head, flooring him. "They call me Beron."
Tunip's energy exploded around him as he entered his first transformation, his power multiplying by four times. The sudden jump did not seem to unnerve Beron however, who stood still in front of the legendary saiyan. Tunip rushed Beron and kicked him upward, delivering rapid punchs to his chest. They seemed to be hurting Beron, but not nearly as much as Tunip hoped. Or as much as he would need to win. As such he kicked him with both feet, knocking him away, and formed two more ki balls, hurling them into him. Beron fell, but immediatly lifted up. He did not use his limbs for it. Rather he simply rose up with his ki alone, replacing himself in a straight line. This was mostly done to anger Tunip, and it worked quite well. In a fury he extended his hands and formed two small arrow-heads. They merged together into a massive ki arrrow, which Tunip fired at Beron. He probably could have dodged it, he was quite a distance away, but he did not. The arrow blasted into Beron's chest, and he fell with a smoking wound from it. Tunip rushed to his side with a grin. "Still feeling so invinicble?" Beron floated up once again, and with a little grin he covered the wound with his hand. It did not make contact, he simply kept it out of Tunip's view. He than moved it out of the way and, sure enough, his body was undamaged. Tunip stared aback, unsure how to fight such a creature.
An idea came to Tunip a moment later, and once more he filled his mouth with ki. Beron simply stood im place, dusting off his clothing a bit, and allowed the saiyan boy to charge the attack. In a flood of golden light Tunip once again performed Devourer's Microcosm, and Beron simply lifted a hand. He actually caught the beam with his palm, and held it until the light faded. Tunip was in utter shock, he was certain that was not physically possible. He spat on the ground, quite rare for him, and stared. "W...what are you?!" Beron laughed slightly, giving him a playful smile. "Don't feel so bad. If you had succeeded, I would have given you the worst stomachache of your very short life." With his every strategy broken so simply, and brute force not an option, Tunip did not see how he could fight Beron. He would not back down however. He let his ki erupt around him as he rushed the tall creature, punchs and kicks flashing through the air by instinct alone. He had thrown out all sense of strategy. Even Beron was a bit surprised by his ferocity, though he was not worried about their impact. However at this time Tunip did something unexpected. He thrust both hands onto Beron's chest and fired a ki arrow through him. The blast carried Beron with it, slamming him to the ground. He was pinned in place for a moment, before the arrow faded. He remained downed for a time, before finally floating back up. He gave a light laugh at this. "Rather impressive. I have to say, honestly, that if given the time you might actually do it. But I really do have things to be getting to." Tunip shook his head, raising a ki ball. "No way, I'm not letting you get away with attacking me!" Beron lifted a finger and fired a single blue beam, smashing Tunip into the ground. "It wasn't a discussion. I must say, though, that your abilities are interesting. I'm sure we'll enjoy watching them develop." With that Beron transmitted again, vanishing completely.
Tunip coughed as he slowly pushed up. The beam was incredibly intense, even in his transformation. He let the extra energy slip away, returning to base form, and rubbed his chest. The wound was only slight, but it had been extremelly painful. Tunip was unsure if such creatures were common on Earth, or if he simply had the misfortune of meeting an immensly powerful individual. Regardless, he was at the same time unnerved and thrilled. He hated for one who provoked his fury to escape, but he also could not believe how powerful his opponent had been. There was nothing like a strong enemy, and Beron had spent most of the fight standing still. He was extremelly excited to see what else the planet had to offer. He was not quite in the mood for solo training, especially after the fight he had just had, and so decided to leave the city behind. Granted his rain of energy earlier had destroyed much of it. As such he lifted into the air and turned. With both hands he formed a large ball of ki and hurled it downward. It exploded in a large blast, leveling most of what remained. With that done, he decided to head back to the pod to let his wounds heal. Hopefully he would also get the attention of other warriors soon, he had afterall left a rather large calling card.
